Children are the salt of the earth. They’re innocent and kind, uninfluenced by the shameful and shallow impact the world can have.

For instance, pictures of a little boy in the Philippines have been recirculating on social media, where he can be seen tied to his parents by a thin rope back in February 2020, as according to GMA Network.

Ero Lawen, who shared the photos said that the little boy was acting as his parents’ eyes, as they are both visually impaired.

Ero wrote, “A child has never asked to be born into a world with such situations. What a huge sacrifice this child is making, to be tied with a rope to become ‘eyes’ for both his parents who are visually impaired.”

Eyes 2

“He still smiles even though both his hands are tied to both his parents. May you become a contributor to society and God, please take care of him.”

Eyes 4

This little boy might not know it yet, but by being his parents’ eyes, he is helping them to navigate through life, which is an honourable and exemplary thing to do.

Not all the time are our parents capable of providing us with lives we wish we had, but as long as our parents love us unconditionally, the least we can do is love them the same.

Hence, with that said, we genuinely hope that his parents appreciate the effort this little boy is making for them, while we also hope that he never grows to see them as burdens.

What do you think about this? Let us know in the comment section.
