‘Winter has come’ in Malaysia because The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (CBTL) has collaborated with HBO Asia to present their new limited edition Game of Thrones-themed Espresso Cream Latte! GoT fans, you’ll want to try this!
In a press release that was shared with WORLD OF BUZZ, they revealed that this complimentary drink was created to commemorate the final and eighth season of GoT, and to make this good news even better, they are giving out about 1,600 cups for FREE!
So, if you’re a Thronie who loves coffee, here’s what you need to do in order to get your hands on the free latte!
The process is quite simple because all you need to do is follow Coffee Bean’s official Instagram page and look out for their weekly Instagram posts. Then, you can redeem your free latte by showing the baristas the post on Coffee Bean’s Instagram page at the following outlet:
- Unit G-047 (Ground Floor), East Atrium, Concourse, Mid Valley City
FYI, this complimentary drink is only available at The Coffee Bean in Mid Valley!
However, do note that the redemption will only be available on eight specific days in the month of April, and not every day. Mark your calendars as these are the dates that you can redeem the free GoT latte:
- April 13 to 15
- April 19 to 21
- April 27 & 28
On top of that, you will also receive a limited edition GoT premium merchandise when you redeem the free latte at The Coffee Bean in Mid Valley. Nice!
Do also note that the complimentary beverage is limited to only 200 customers per day, so be there bright and early for a chance to get the yummy drink and merch.
I got a chance to give the GoT-inspired beverage a try yesterday (11 April), and here’s what you can expect the creamy espresso latte to look like (it comes with the “Viserion dragon” latte art!):

Now, the fun doesn’t stop there because HBO Asia and Coffee Bean will also be bringing Westeros to us!
Well, somewhat, because they are making the GoT experience more immersive by decorating their outlet with banners of the houses like House Stark, House Targaryen and House Lannister. These banners are only up in Coffee Bean, Mid Valley!

What’s even more exciting is that this outlet will also play important scenes and behind-the-scenes clips of the GoT set to reminisce great moments from the first until the seventh season. Phew, we’ve come a long way!
