How horrifying!
A Bangladeshi man was recently found dead in a drain near a mosque in Section 27, Shah Alam on Monday morning (25th September).
The victim, who was in his 30s, owned a successful business in the area where he sold traditional Bangladeshi cakes. He was reportedly murdered last Thursday (21st September) by a friend who also sold traditional cakes.
“The victim died from head injuries due to being hit on the head with a hammer. His body was then hacked to pieces before being folded and stuffed into a sack that was thrown into a drain facing Masjid Baitul Mahabbah,” Shah Alam District Police Chief, ACP Shafien Mamat told the Malay Mail.
“His body was found after his employer made a missing person’s report here on Monday after he didn’t show up to work since Thursday (21st September).”
“Two male Bangladeshi suspects in their 30s were arrested after they confessed that they had killed the victim. They then brought police to the drain where the victim’s body was thrown at around 2pm Monday evening.”
It was then that authorities found out that the suspect murdered the man because his business was doing much better than his.
“Both of them sell traditional cakes from Bangladesh. The first suspect called the victim over to his flat in Taman Bunga Negara at around 11am last Thursday, where he murdered him.”
“The victim’s body was then thrown into the drain here with the help of the second suspect at around 1.30pm the same day.”
“We have yet to retrieve the weapons used in the killing. No identification documents were found on the victim,” ACP Shafien Mamat told the New Straits Times.
The case has been classified as murder and is currently being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code, according to the Shah Alam District Police Chief.
We hope these men get the appropriate punishment for committing such a brutal murder. Nobody should be able to get away after doing something this terrible!
