KTM train recently went viral after a Malaysian shared his experience of waiting for more than an hour during peak hours. The train user expressed his disappointment in seeing little to zero changes in terms of the service after a long time.

It didn’t take long for the viral news to gain the attention of KTMB, and they have recently shared the details as to what caused the major delay, even during peak hours. Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, KTMB revealed that there is an ongoing significant upgrade in the route between Mid Valley to Taman Wahyu.

“The upgrade is happening due to the rehabilitation project.”

The upgrade and the rehabilitation project have caused some inevitable changes to KTM’s Komuter schedule because only 1 track is available.

“These changes may have added to the inconveniences for our passengers, and we once again offer our sincerest apologies for the disruptions.”

However, there is something you can do in the meantime to keep yourself updated on the latest schedule. An application, known as MyRailTime is downloadable from the Google Play Store and Apple Store, which will allow train users to plan their journey ahead based on the updated schedule.

MyRailTime is also accessible via their KTMB KITS mobile app.

“The concern is important to us, and at KTMB, we are fully committed to enhancing our services to meet the expectations of our passengers,” KTMB told WORLD OF BUZZ.

Upgrades are needed from time to time and sometimes, inconveniences are just inevitable before things improve. For your convenience, it’s wise to refer to MyRailTime so that you can plan your journey ahead without waiting for hours at the station.
