The Bank Negara and the Kuala Lumpur KTM stations are rumoured to close during the “Turun Anwar” rally this Saturday (July 26), as shown in a notice that is currently circulating on social media.

According to the notice, the stations will be closed from 9 AM to 5 PM, and the train will not stop at those two stations. In response to a social media user’s enquiry, KTMB, however, did not confirm the temporary closure of those two stations.

“There has been no official announcement from management so far regarding the temporary closure of Bank Negara Station and Kuala Lumpur Stations,” the management said in the comment section.

KTMB responded to the ‘notice’, in which the authenticity has not been confirmed, and said that any latest information will be shared from time to time through KTMB’s official media channels.

In case you are not aware, both stations are near Dataran Merdeka, which is the location for the Turun Anwar rally tomorrow evening. This matter has caught the attention of social media users, as many of those who will be attending the rally may rely on public transport.

Participants of the rally are expected to gather at four main locations, namely Sogo, Masjid Jamek, Masjid Negara, and Pasar Seni, before moving to Dataran Merdeka.

According to PDRM in KL, up to 15,000 participants are expected to attend the rally, with over 2,000 manpower from the police force to be deployed to ensure the peace and safety of the attendees.

Will you be attending the rally tomorrow?
