Attention, Klang Valley drivers!

We know this past week has been extra rough in terms of traffic no thanks to the monsoon season. Most of us have been on the lookout for alternative routes to lighten the burden.

Now, we’re giving you guys a heads up, because it appears that there are some road closures in the city that could add on to the traffic!

According to Bernama, the Stormwater Management and Road Tunnel Sdn Bhd (SMART) announced the closure of some major roads in Kuala Lumpur from October 6 to January next year due to upgrading works on Jalan Tun Razak.

SMART told the news portal,

“The closure is for upgrading works to improve traffic flow in the city at Jalan Tun Razak from Jalan Langgak Golf to Kampung Pandan Roundabout and Tun Razak Exchange (TRX).”

Here are the roads that are closed:

  • Jalan Tun Razak
  • Exit to Kampung Pandan Roundabout
  • Jalan Davis

SMART advised motorists in the city to take alternate routes. Drivers coming from Seremban-Cheras-Sungai Besi to KL city centre such as Jalan Tun Razak-KLCC and Bukit Bintang, have been advised to use the Smart Highway instead.

If you’re heading out of the city centre, you can also use the SMART Highway to avoid traffic at Jalan Davis and Bukit Bintang.

So, take note, KL drivers! It looks like you might have to take these alternative routes until January 2018 when the roadworks are expected to finish!
