Just this evening (20 January), Minister of Health, Khairy Jamaluddin held a media conference to provide certain updates on the current Covid-19 situation.

One thing that perhaps surprised the people is that one of the most fundamentals SOPs – scanning temperature upon entering any premises will soon be a thing in the past. Visitors are still required to check-in via the MySejahtera application before going into any premises.

However, Khairy did not mention when the temperature scanning will be erased from the current SOPs.

“The proposal will be brought forward to the National Security Council (MKN) for approval and revision. We will provide an update as soon as we can,” Khairy explained at the conference in the parliament today.
