One of the major issues that Kelantan faces is the lack of proper roads and public infrastructure.
Recently, a TikTok video went viral as it featured a kiosk selling petrol that has to hand pumped manually and put into the car using a water hose.
The kiosk is apparently located somewhere in Dabong, Kelantan, and exists just because the nearest petrol station from the area is over 60km away.
In the video, a woman can be seen hand pumping the petrol and then refueling a car via a water hose.
“First time seeing this”
The video has gone viral on TikTok and currently sits on over 226,200 views and 19,200 likes. Plenty of Malaysians expressed their shock after seeing the video.
Some netizens couldn’t believe that such kiosks even exist.
“Wow. I work at a petrol station. This is the first time I’ve (heard) that this exists.”
“I was thinking that this must be in some other country until I read the caption”, said another user.
Meanwhile, some users took the opportunity to condemn PAS, the party in control of the state, for leaving such residents in such a sad state.
“Vote for PAS again.”
A user commented, “The benefits of voting for PAS. Even my kampung has 4 different petrol stations, just have to choose which brand you want”.
