Earlier last week, a heartwarming and inspiring Facebook post went viral among Malaysian netizens.
A netizen named Aizuddin took to Facebook to share a story about his friend Faizal, who unfortunately met with an accident while riding his motorcycle.
In his post, he thanked a young doctor for helping his friend despite the fact that she knew he was a mat rempit.
“Respect to this lady. Although she knew we were mat rempits, she stopped to help because she was a doctor.
“…Please look for her when you have recovered. She was the one who told me to buy sugar water (for hydration) and she was the one who washed off your wounds. Respect.”
Due to the accident, 20-year-old Faizal sustained a broken arm and an injured back, and desperately needed medical assistance. Luckily, he had a guardian angel come to his rescue in the nick of time!
A young lady, who happened to be a doctor, soon pulled over when she saw Faizal hurt by the road and rushed to his aid.
Faizal told The Star,
“She told me she had pulled over during the accident to help me, but she could only check my heart rate and lungs as she didn’t have much medical equipment with her then.”
She also waited with him until the ambulance came to take him to the hospital.
“When I thanked her, she just said ‘you’re welcome’, and that she was just doing her job. She also told me to get well soon and watch what I eat.”
Since the accident, Faizal has been recovering in the hospital and even got a surprise visit from his guardian angel!
“I was surprised when a pretty girl suddenly approached me. At first I didn’t recognise that she was the doctor, but as she got closer, I realised that she was the one that helped me when I was in pain last Sunday.
“I didn’t expect her to visit. I was a bit shy, unlike her, who seemed casual.
“We chatted and she checked my arm and my X-ray. She was also surprised that the story went viral.”
Faizal shares that she told him to stop smoking and to take care of his diet. She also advised him not to move so much, especially his right hand that’s broken.
Kudos to this dedicated doctor for saving this young man’s life! She has restored our faith in humanity!
