For our Malay friends, circumcision marks one of the 1st steps into adulthood. Tears and screams are unavoidable, especially for those who are not anticipating the pain in their private parts.
A kid, however, took his circumcision like a champ. No dramas, no tears, no screams. In a TikTok post by @klinikserianggun__, the kid, who was getting his foreskin cut “accepted his fate” on the surgery bed by having the time of his life. Instead of focusing on the pain down there, the kid took the opportunity to relax his mind and body by focusing on the game on his mobile phone.
In what is usually a hectic moment filled with tears, the kid copes by having his attention fixed on the screen. Well, as long as it works, why not?
The anaesthetic was not the only help he got as a distraction from the pain but also the game that got him immersed. For all we know, the kid was probably imagining himself fighting off the enemies in the shooting game. The medical procedure was carried out carefully by the medical staff at Klinik Seri Anggun in Rawang. Their job was made easier without the need to provide the kid emotional support or any persuasion that “it was just going to feel like a sting.”
Sting or no sting, the kid was in his own “survival mode”, and the medical officers could focus solely on their jobs.
Was the brave kid really that calm? Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Klinik Anggun said that the boy did not shed a tear.
“He was in slight pain when we injected the anaesthetic, but he remained calm during the laser surgery, and spent the entire time playing game,” one of the staff said.
The laser surgery took only 15 minutes. The kid’s parents did not say anything during the procedure but they were also laughing at how their child faced the painful moment calmly with such courage as if it was nothing.
The staff also told WORLD OF BUZZ that it was not the 1st time where they had encountered brave kids, but they only had the opportunity to record the historic moment this time. You can watch the clip below and see if you can remain calm like the remarkable kid.
