While his sales continue to soar, local celebrity chef, Khairul Aming continues to stay humble despite his wealth and success.

In his recent TikTok account @khairulaming, Khairul took the opportunity to thank his fans and followers for the success he has gained over the years. Thanks to his unique Sambal Nyet, he managed to gain a whopping RM33.5 million in sales in just 3 years. It was certainly not a walk in the park for him to achieve the major success that he has today.

In the clip, Khairul took some time to explain how his daily production of the Sambal Nyet has been increased to 7,000 bottles per day but there is an important part where Khairul convinces his followers that despite the increase in prices of goods and materials, the price of his Sambal Nyet will be maintained and customers can expect to pay the same price, as always.

“Customers shouldn’t bear the increasing price of goods”

Khairul admitted that the price of raw materials have increased but he doesn’t want customer to pay for that, and that it’s on him as a business owner to find a solution.

“As a business owner, I have to find ways to control costs using automation so that customers don’t have to bear the increased price of goods.”

At the time of writing (September 8), Khairul revealed that they can sell up to 70,000 bottles in a day, and they are targeting to increase daily sales to 100,000 bottles per day!

“We started selling on TikTok Shop this year and through that channel alone, we made RM5 million this year.”

Despite his major success, Khairul humbly said that he is still learning another set of skill – live commerce. He added that the skill will be useful for all content creators and influencers out there as we move towards the era of digital marketing.

It’s only natural for business owners to increase the prices of their products due to inflation but not all entrepreneurs have the generosity to maintain the prices. To those who have tried the Sambal Nyet, what do you think of it?
