Following the uncertainty brough about by GE15’s results, Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah has called on the people to be patient and wait for him to decide on who should lead the country and form the government.

According to NST, speaking to newsmen at the entrance of Istana Negara today (November 22) at 2:20pm, he said it was important for the ongoing standstill to end, and for the country to move on.

“We have to move on for the sake of the people.”

When asked if he would meet the members of parliament individually, the King laughed it off.

It is also unlikely that the King would extend the deadline for the respective coalitions to pass their numbers as he did yesterday.

Election

As of now no coalition could say for sure that they have the minimum number requirement to form the government.

Meanwhile, it is also understood the that the Dewan Rakyat speaker is already inside the palace with the letters from the heads of the coalitions as requested by the Palace.

It seems that we would have a decision by today!
