Ieza Yusoff, a financial consultant has shared the tips via her Facebook account on how you can do so.

Now, if the flood has submerged your car, here’s what you need to do in order for your vehicle to be eligible for insurance reimbursement:

  1. DO NOT start your engine.
  2. Take pictures of your car, take note of the location, time, and date of the flood.
  3. DO NOT start your engine even when the flood has receded. Contact the towing agents from the insurance agency to tow your car to the nearest police station to lodge a report.
  4. Once the report has been made, you can take your vehicle to any panel workshops to claim the insurance.
