Oh dear, this looks bad!
Harian Metro wrote that a Police Inspector got so mad at his fiancée that he went amok and accidentally shot her pet dog on its leg in Ipoh. The incident took place at 6.30pm yesterday (6th October 2019), and the 29-year-old suspect who is on duty with the PGA (Pasukan Gerakan Am) Ulu Kinta has now been arrested by the MPV (Unit Peronda Polis) of the IPD (Ibupejabat Daerah) Ipoh.
Apparently, the inspector was supposed to report for work at the PGA in ICQ (Immigration, Customs & Quarantine Complex) on 4th September 2019, but he didn’t turn up for work. The Chief Police of Perak, Datuk Razarudin Husain said that the suspect went to the victim’s house using a motorcycle that belonged to the PDRM (Polis Diraja Malaysia).
Datuk Razarudin was quoted as saying,
“The suspect fought and struggled with the victim (his fiancee); the officer then used the gun which was assigned to him to release a shot and it hit the dog’s leg.”
As of now, the inspector has been arrested and the gun, as well as its bullets, were confiscated from him. Apparently, the fight happened because the fiancée wanted to break off their engagement. Currently, the case is being investigated under Section 307 of the Penal Code.
Hopefully, the authorities will quickly get to the bottom of this matter and provide an apt solution for it.
