A post about a young Malaysian lady has gone viral on Facebook recently, and it’s for a heartwarming reason!
In the post, the young lady named Noor Syamimi Azhari, can be seen driving around neighbourhoods on a motorbike that also functions as an ice cream vendor.
A video shows the 22-year-old riding the motorcycle like a seasoned pro, which no doubt impressed a lot of netizens.
The video and photos have been shared on the social media site over 1,000 times, with many netizens calling her ‘Si Cantik Penjual Aiskrim‘ or ‘Beautiful Ice Cream Seller’.
Syamimi even caught the attention of the New Straits Times, who recently reached out to her given her newfound ‘Internet famous’ status.
“It was a bit awkward when I was called such but I am looking at this positively because it can help my father’s business,” she told the daily when asked about the nickname netizens gave her.
She expressed how grateful she felt when she saw the amount of positive comments and support she received from so many strangers.
However, Syamimi does much more than just sell ice cream.
She’s also a final year Biology student at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM).
She has been selling ice cream since she completed secondary school, and is still doing it to this day during her semester breaks so she can help her father.
Syamimi said that her father raised her by selling ice cream and is therefore, unashamed to help him out whenever she could.
“He put me through school and university from selling ice cream so this is one way I could repay him, by helping him to improve his business.”
What a devoted and humble daughter! We wish Syamimi all the best in her studies and we hope her father’s business becomes way more successful after this!
