Inspector Sheila was released on bail yesterday (26 June) by the Magistrate Court in Selayang and outside the premise, she had a lot to tell to the media, including why she refused to be cuffed.

This time, we’re sharing with you something a little personal about the policewoman who went viral on social media weeks ago for a dispute with 2 other police officers. When answering a question from the media, Inspector Sheila admitted that she’s still single. No one knows yourself better than you do, and the policewoman has a few factors that may have contributed to her current marital status.

“Not many men like that”

Inspector Sheila, who is 35 this year said that she’s still single because she’s stern, which she believes not many men are into. She added that the people in PJ can be witnesses to how stern she is and how she sounds, according to a video shared by NST Online.

“Ask anyone in PJ. They know I’m strict. My Head always sends me to give a speech, and I’ve given a lot of speeches from 2017 till 2022.”

In the meantime, the media outside the court were also given more details about personality and traits that Inspector Sheila has. Let’s just say, she’s not someone you want to mess with, especially when it comes to breaking the law because she’ll never be on your side if you happen to break the law.

“I’m a no-nonsense officer, I don’t take bribes, I don’t compromise and I don’t try to reduce the sections in a charge.”

Despite her strictness and her code of conduct, Inspector Sheila said many have been trying to bribe her, saying,

“They hand me an evelope and said, Puan, tolonglah… (Madam, please help).”

In another clip shared by the Twitter page of Buletin TV3, Inspector Sheila is also heard saying “When you shine, not many people like it.”

She admitted to having a loud voice and there is nothing she can do to change it.

“When you sound loud as a woman, men don’t like it because they feel we are empowering, when the fact that this is the way I am.”

Inspector Sheila also justified her tone by having the responsibility to care for 7 other siblings as the eldest, which has since “developed” the character she has today. She even explained to her superior about her tone.

“Sorry, Sir. This is my voice, I couldn’t be able to edit my voice to make it a girlish voice, because I’m trained as such and I’ve 6 brothers.”

While Inspector Sheila did not mention if she’s available, it’s admirable to a have law enforcer publicly condemning bribery and strictly following the rules. To our friends in PJ, have you spoken to Inspector Sheila personally prior to her recent case?
