Jealousy and love can often lead people to do unspeakable things such as when a man was recently fined for assaulting his girlfriend due to an argument over an unanswered good morning text.

However, in another extreme case of jealousy, a man in Indonesia reportedly murdered his girlfriend after he felt jealous and betrayed by her WhatsApp status.

According to Sinar Harian, the horrific incident occurred on October 17th at the victim’s rented house. The suspect, identified as Muhammad Adhi Nugroho, admitted to the police that jealousy drove him to act in such a manner.

“My anger peaked a few hours before I killed her (Robiatul). When I saw her WhatsApp status showing her with another man,” he told the Semarang police.

According to local media reports, the victim died after being stabbed, believed to be with a knife, 15 times.
