He lured her with snacks

The perpetrator, identified as Rozi Yanto, reportedly developed sinister intentions after seeing the 6-year-old girl spending time with her friends.

He approached her and lured her away with snacks before taking her to a forested area.

There, in Menang Raya Village, Pedamaran, the suspect proceeded to rape the victim twice, which ultimately led to her death.

He claimed that he was too scared to approach adult women

Rozi strangled the victim and covered her mouth before sexually assaulting her, and left her body at the scene, claiming she was no longer alive. He was later arrested a day after the incident.

During interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime and claimed he wanted a wife but lacked the courage to approach adult women.

Since the incident came to light, reports say that local residents stormed to the suspect’s house and caused damage out of rage for what he had done.
