Over the weekend, India’s Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) officially had their opening launch event and were attended by A-list Hollywood celebrities like Zendaya, Gigi Hadid, Nick Jonas and Tom Holland.

“The NMACC is envisioned as a platform to spotlight Indian arts and culture at its best, both for the audience and the artists,” said Nita M. Ambani, founder of the NMACC.

And a spotlight on Indian culture it did! In an unexpected turn of events, the Bollywood paparazzi at the opening event stole the show and won the hearts of netizens with their hilarious commentary to grab the attention of celebrities on the red carpet.

In a TikTok video by Bollywood Corner that has since gone viral, the Indian paparazzi can be heard calling Nick Jonas “jijaji (brother-in-law)”, to make him smile for their red carpet photos.

One of them called Tom Holland, “Tom Homecoming” in reference to his role in the movie, Spiderman Homecoming, to which Tom chuckled at!

In another part of the video, Gigi Hadid was seen on the red carpet while a member of the paparazzi was questioning his colleague, Shakira hai kya? Kaun hai bhai? (is that Shakira? who is that?)” mistaking the supermodel’s identity with world famous singer, Shakira.

The internet LOVED the Mumbai paps and took to Twitter to share their laughs and appreciation.

Other than the cheeky comments, American celebrities like Zendaya and Gigi Hadid stunned in beautiful Sarees for their red carpet appearance.

Zendaya And Gigi

Gigi wore a gold Saree by Indian luxury label Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla that took a year to make while Zendaya wore a midnight blue sequined saree by designer Rahul Mishra.

Who would’ve thought we’d see these two celebs in Sarees eh?

We hope you laughed at this peculiar multiverse red carpet just as much as we did!

What did you think of these Hollywood celebrities wearing Sarees? Yay or Nay?
