Malaysia is full of people who are struggling to make a living, even more so if they are differently-abled.
With that being said, many of these people are ever willing to go above and beyond to at least try to create an income for themselves.
The PACHENG EMPIRE TikTok page recently showcased a local man in a wheelchair who collects recyclables on a trolley that he pulls with his wheelchair in KL!
PACHENG EMPIRE wrote, “Ya Allah, pity this uncle. We don’t know him, it’s just that we stumbled upon him in front of MARA KL. We can’t afford to help much, but we’re hoping the power of going viral will get Malaysians to help this uncle.”
“We hope that those who can afford to help will ease the burdens of this uncle and his family.”
In the video shared, the man could be seen taking a rest from pulling his trolley filled to the brim with recyclable items, in the bicycle lane.
When asked, he said that he was heading back to Chow Kit after going around KL to collect recyclable items.
PACHENG EMPIRE then offered to push the uncle, as his journey seemed rather far.
“Eh, it’s okay. I’m used to it, this is my routine to go around, 2 times a day,” he said. The man, in high spirits, added that he is healthy.
While it is unsure as to how he pulls the large trolley full of items with his wheelchair, but he also had crutches in his hands so we believe he probably uses the crutches to push against the ground to move his wheelchair and trolley.
It is truly amazing to see how resilient some Malaysians are, in the face of adversity.
