Politicians should be honest and trustworthy above everyone else because with all the power they have, it’s very easy for them to abuse it. And that’s exactly what happened in this case.
Just yesterday, a branch leader from the Malaysia Indian Congress (MIC) made headlines after he was shockingly exposed for his heinous behaviour.

According to Malaysiakini, the incident only came to light after a phone conversation between the 56-year-old politician and a woman started circulating on WhatsApp. He promised the woman that her daughter would get a job if the daughter sleeps with him.
The politician who is also a Tamil school teacher even boasted to the mother that many young girls who had just finished SPM managed to secure a job after having sex with him.
In fact, this was what he said.
“Please tell me the timing and where, and how long the session can last. If she’s not interested, please tell me, I will drop this offer, as there are a lot of other girls waiting,” he said.
He even had the audacity to complain to the mother that the young girl has been ignoring her calls and messages. He then tried to reassure her that the sexual encounter would only be a one-off thing and once the daughter is employed, they would pretend to not know each other.
“Don’t waste this wonderful opportunity,” he added.
After this shameful incident received media coverage, MIC treasurer-general, Datuk Seri S. Vell Paari strongly condemned the alleged sexual predator and emphasised that MIC’s leadership does not condone such corrupted behaviour.

The suspect has since apologised to the victim’s family and quit from MIC. He said,
“I want to make it crystal clear that resigning from the party is not a ‘get out of jail’ card for him. I’ve been informed that he had done this earlier, about three years ago, and he was caught and assaulted.
“At that time, he promised to change his ways, but apparently, this never happened.”
One of the victims only turned 18 recently, as reported by The Star. This proves that the suspect is indeed “a compulsive sexual predator” who’s targeting underage girls.
Vell Paari has since referred the case to the Sentul police chief for further action. He also urged those who have reviewed the voice note to lodge a police report against the former branch chairman.
We certainly hope the police is able to carry out a thorough investigation to unearth the truth and remove this man from the street, if he’s found guilty.
