Admittedly, online learning hasn’t been easy for everyone be it, teachers or students. Countless times, if you ask a student after their online class what have they learnt, their answer would probably be back pain and eyesores.

However, this 17-year-old student from Melaka has not only figured out how to make online learning fun but quite possibly made the most boring subject ever interesting. Aaron Ming rapped his Sejarah syllabus with such passion that even if you graduated ten years ago, it will definitely get you hooked.

Where were these materials when I was a struggling student?

Speaking to World of Buzz, Aaron said while his teachers are yet to notice his beats, his classmates and friends have been very supportive and want him to keep doing what he does.

Have you always used rapping as a method to study better?

Aaron said he started rapping last year but it wasn’t about his subjects. However, when online learning began, he started rapping about his subjects as he had more time to do what he liked. His videos have garnered over 200K views!

“There was one day when I just finished my revision for Sejarah, then I went to rest and listen to beats in YouTube and suddenly I had a idea to write lyrics about Sejarah Chapter One.”

His lyrics were based on short notes he had prepared when he was revising. According to Noodou, although he knows nothing about musical instruments, he doesn’t let this affect his love for music thus channelling his energy to writing lyrics, singing and rapping.

If you ever needed a pick-me-up after a long hard day of studying, maybe jam to Aaron’s rap so that you don’t feel bad about taking a break. Kudos to Aaron for transforming the mundaneness of online learning to as what the youths would call it, a freaking BOP!
