Hong Kong veteran singer, Jacky Cheung is scheduled to perform for 6 nights in Malaysia, leaving Malaysians with 6 nights of opportunities to attend his show in KL.
Given Jacky’s popularity, it’s not uncommon to see some familiar faces amongst the crowd at his concert but in this case, we’re talking about the former transport minister, Dato’ Seri Wee Ka Siong. Some Malaysian concertgoers spotted Wee attending the show during the state election night itself on August 12.
Many netizens were wondering about a politician’s presence at a concert during the state election night, and some even wonder who tagged along as he was seen with a lady. In a 1-minute clip posted on his official Facebook account, Wee took the time to answer all the questions you may have in mind in an interview with JY 蔡捷旸.
“That was my ex-GF, and go tell my wife about it”
In response to the question about the identity of the mysterious woman, Wee jokingly said that the woman was not his girlfriend anymore but an ex. When asked if his wife could accept that he was there with his former partner, Wee casually said,
“Tell you what. Send that viral image to my wife, tell her I said my ex-GF is beautiful. She’ll definitely be happy!”
Of course, Wee was implying that the woman was indeed his wife – someone who is not his GF anymore since her status has been “updated”. We never knew Wee could be this “naughty”!

On the other hand, Wee also said that voting ended at 6 pm sharp and any political campaigns had to stop by 11:59 pm on August 11. So he definitely had the right to be where he wanted when the voting counts were taking place.
“Or else, I would be violating the rules,” Wee said.

Wee then responded to 1 last question that many netizens had – he seems to have a lot of spare time recently.
Instead of explaining his work 1 by 1, Wee simply moved his finger around and showed the campaigns and activities that he had attended in the past few weeks.
