Giving away free stuff is NOT a good idea to secure your business but hey, it’s not illegal, right? It takes REAL understanding and compassion for a business person to give away some items, or in this case, free food for the customers to just hang in there.
A post from the Facebook group Pekan Bangi has circulated on social media. In the post, the vendor of a stall in UiTM Puncak Alam has a friendly reminder to all the students, especially those who are struggling financially.
“If you have no money at all, please don’t stay hungry in silent. Tell me or any of my staff, your meal will be on me.”
Of course, this offer is only extended to those who REALLY CANNOT AFFORD the meal. We hope no one takes the vendor’s kindness for granted.
There is a reason why the vendor is offering free food to those who cannot afford to get one, and let’s just say, he had experienced a similar thing in the past.
“If you’re embarassed to approach us, you can always talk to us behind the stall. I was once a student, so I understand your situation.”
The stall is simply identified as Stall Number 4 (Gerai No. 4) at Kolej Dahlia in the university, and the canteen features a variety of food options from different vendors.
The post also reminds students to ALWAYS remember the good deeds that others have done to them.
“Remember those who have helped you. Repay them by changing your future and lead a better life.”
Expectedly, netizens are touched to see the vendor’s kindness and willingness to help the students in need.
“His intention when he was a student was to help the students in need, and now he’s doing that. May God grants you more.”
“There’s a place in Heaven for people like him.”
“May God bless the owner of Stall number 4. This reminds me of my son there. I’m from Sarawak.”
Do we have any friends from UiTM Puncak Alam here, or the alumni? Have you heard about this stall? In the meantime, have you ever experienced a similar struggle as a student?
