Yes! There are a lot of corrupted parents in our country, and they turn up in the news almost every week. However, responsible and wonderful parents are still the majority, tirelessly and silently doing their best for their children.
According to an interview obtained from MyMetro, Jeffri Senin, 39, whose daughter is suffering from bone cancer, decided to shave his head bald to give moral support to his daughter.
“I am willing to go bald because this is my way to comfort Rayyana, who is currently facing hair loss due to her recent chemotherapy treatment.” He said.
It all began when Jeffri posted a picture of Rayanna’s clump of hair on Facebook with the caption;
“The day is just starting and Yana had already lost this much hair. This is her second day of hair loss. May Yana remain strong in overcoming this hurdle and hopefully all of her treatments will go well.”
It was heartbreaking.
But later on the same day, Jeffri posted a picture of his shiny bald head.
“Heh. I suddenly became bald though Rayyana is the one losing hair.” He said.
Most of the people in the comment section agreed that he still looks handsome either way. Such reactions made him glad because he didn’t want the 9-year-old to feel any less confident about herself.
“I can only provide her with moral support as a father. I need her to stay strong and cheerful even when she is struggling with cancer, just to prove to her that the change doesn’t portray weakness but simply something natural.”
According to Jeffri, he didn’t post the pictures to ask for donations. Instead, he just needed people to pray for his daughter’s fast recovery.
“I just want her to think positive. I will think and do just about anything to amuse her.”
He also mentioned that Rayanna would often forget about her sickness when she’s having fun. Hopefully, her health can improve this way.
Jeffri, the online Coway businessman, advised all parents with cancer children to stay positive and always make sure that each of their children has whatever strength that parents can provide to fight the illness.
Rayanna has had 14 treatments altogether in a year. She was diagnosed with cancer August 2018 and has been going through treatments at Sultanah Aminah Hospital (HSA) and Sultan Ismail Hospital (HSI).
