To many people, birthday is 1 of the most important celebrations in life. There’s nothing wrong to be the King for a day if you have the budget but as a parent, will you stop at cakes and gifts for your child’s birthday celebration?
Malaysian YouTubers, Jasmine and Kvin recently held a birthday party for their 1-year-old son, Enzo at a villa, and it was a grand one. The place was not only spruced up by the decorations but there was also sound system, snack and dessert bars, as well as a claw machine.
There was also a mini playground for the children to play with.
It was pretty much a slice of paradise for the kids. To celebrate a birthday for a toddler in such a manner is considered a grand scale, and the 1st thing that you might wonder is the price. Jasmine couldn’t really remember the exact figure, but the couple definitely spent around RM50,000 to make the birthday event happen. Here’s what they spent on, as shared via Jasmine’s Instagram story.
- Decoration (RM30,000)
- Buffet (RM3,000)
- Buggy car (RM1,500)
- Cotton Candy (RM300)
- Claw machine (RM1,000)
- Gifts (RM2,000)
- 3 days of stay at villa (RM6,600)
- Photographer (RM2,000)
- Dolls (RM1,000)
And these were not all. Jasmine couldn’t recall exactly what else was spent on, saying,
“I remembered money was continuously deducted from my account, and it was around RM50,000.”
The YouTuber said that it never crossed her mind to hold this birthday event at such a grand scale, and the initial plan was to invite her friends for the birthday party. However, she changed her mind because she wanted to give her son the best.
“How much can he enjoy the party?”
On Facebook, while many expressed their excitement over the grand birthday party, some netizens question its relevance given how young Jasmine’s son is, and how much he can probably remember years down the road.
“I never had such a big celebration, and it’s only once in a lifetime, so I decided to make it for Enzo.”
“Those invited did not possibly attend with empty hands. They definitely brought Angpow.”
“Enzo is still young, how much can he enjoy the fancy party? How much can he remember? It’s all because of money which contributed to such mindset and intention.”
“I hope you both stay together and spend time with your kid until he’s all grown up. This will be his best memory.”
At the end of the day, it’s all about how much can we afford to express our love, as a partner or as a parent. Do you see yourself holding such a grand celebration for your kid?
