An e-hailing driver in Hong Kong recently threw his passenger’s umbrella out the window during a heated argument.

In a viral dashcam footage circulating on Facebook, the passenger boarded her e-hailing ride and immediately placed her wet umbrella on the seat. The flabbergasted e-hailing driver then sarcastically asked the passenger,

“Beautiful lady, do you place wet things on the couch or bed at your house?”

The woman replied, “Of course not. Are you crazy?”

The e-hailing driver, still softspoken, then asked the passenger why she just placed a wet umbrella on his seat.

“It’s just a rented car. What’s wrong about it?”

The passenger sealed her fate, and the e-hailing driver started to raise his voice and told her it was his car, which he described as “his 2nd wife.”

“Even if it’s just a rented car, you shouldn’t do that!” the e-hailing driver angrily placed the wet umbrella on the floor.

Here comes another issue. The passenger was NOT happy with how her umbrella was “treated”, and told the driver that she bought the umbrella from Japan, saying,

“Can you afford to compensate me?! I know you can’t even afford to buy this car!”

The e-hailing driver continued arguing with the passenger while wiping the backseat with tissues, and it didn’t take long for the argument to escalate. The driver started yelling and asked the woman to leave her car.

“With your attitude like this, I’m not going to fetch you! Other drivers won’t bother to fetch you either!”

The woman continued to defend herself, and her expensive umbrella that “shouldn’t be placed on the floor.” This time, the e-hailing driver grabbed the umbrella, rolled down the window, and threw it out!

Before she left, the passenger said she wouldn’t have taken the ride even if she was offered a free ride.

“Get out of my car! I’m not sending you! Eat sh*t!” the angry e-hailing driver said.

To our e-hailing driver friends, what would you do if you’re caught in such a situation with your passenger?
