A Picnic & Potluck event was held at Putrajaya yesterday morning (July 13) to celebrate the birthdays of Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and his wife, Tun Dr Siti Hasmah.

The former PM, however, had to leave early after feeling fatigue, and was brought to the National Heart Institute (IJN) to rest before he was discharged in the evening.

Today (July 14), Tun M posted a video and apologised to those who attended the picnic event for leaving early. It is understood that Tun M drove to Putrajaya by himself before cycling there.

“I was too tired, and I had to rest. So, I was told to go to the hospital.”

In the same video, the 100-year-old Tun M said that he had recovered completely and is ready to go back to work.

“I have recovered after the doctor treated me and now I can go back to my life, which is working.”

“I hope those who attended the event can forgive me for not being able to spend time with you.”

The Picnic & Potluck event was attended by nearly 1,000 people and held in conjunction with Tun Dr Siti Hasmah’s 99th birthday. In the video, Tun M was seen walking around KLIA before having a meal there with his family.

What do you think of Tun M’s strength, given his age?
