We’re sure that most Malaysians were excited when the PM announced that there will be a BPN 2.0. However, similar to the last time, we are still a little unsure about what to do so that we’re able to get the money. Fret not as we have scoured through the LHDN website to search for the FAQs. Lo and behold, this is it.

First things first, if you have applied before and you got the initial payments, then you wouldn’t need to reapply. The money will be automatically credited into your account that you have stated in your application.

But if you did not apply for the first BPN, then you can apply here starting from 15 October. This also applies to those who have gotten married or divorced in the few months after BPN 1.0.

Here are the details for the amount and payment.

Category Income 1st Payment 2nd Payment Total
B40 Household RM4,000 & below RM700 RM300 RM1,000
Single RM2,000 & below RM350 RM150 RM500
M40 Household RM4,001 – RM8,000 RM400 RM200 RM600
Single RM2,001 – RM4,000 RM200 RM100 RM300

The first payment will be paid at the end of October 2020 while the second payment will be in January 2021.

The money will be credited into your bank account. However, if your bank account has already been closed or inactive, then you would need to go to a BSN branch to get it. This also applies to those who do not have any bank accounts.
