Health DG Dr Noor Hisham To Undergo 14-Day Quarantine After Attending Meeting With Religious Minister

Health DG, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham will reportedly undergo mandatory quarantine for 14 days beginning 3 October after attending a National Security Council (MKN) meeting on 3 October that was also attended by Religious Affairs Minister, Dr.Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri, who tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday.

Astro Awani reported that although being in quarantine, Dr Noor Hisham will still be doing press conferences but it will be online now from his home without any members of the media present. The Health DG is scheduled to go live today at 5.30 pm.

Prior to the Religious Affairs minister’s statement, the Health DG confirmed that one of the attendees of the meeting has tested positive and was put under quarantine. The individual was asymptomatic but was admitted for observation.
