The Health Ministry has identified four new sub-clusters of Covid-19 which rose from the Sri Petaling Tabligh. All these sub-clusters began at madrasahs and tahfizs. Director-General of Health, Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said in his press conference yesterday that the four sub-clusters were each located in a madrasah in Jerantut, Pahang; Penanti, Penang; Sungai Lui, Selangor and Jasin, Malacca.

The first sub-cluster is at a madrasah in Jerantut Pahang with :

  • 401 tested (297 students and 104 staffs)
  • 62 confirmed positive
  • 20 patients have recovered

The second sub-cluster is at a madrasah in Penanti, Pulau Pinang with :

  • 291 tested (256 students and 35 staffs)
  • 6 confirmed positives
  • 4 patients have recovered

The third sub-cluster is at a madrasah Sg. Lui, Selangor with:

  • 282 tested (274 students and 8 staffs)
  • 90 confirmed positives
  • 67 patients have recovered

The fourth sub-cluster is at a madrasah as well in Jasin, Melaka with :

  • 137 tested (122 students and 15 staffs)
  • 37 confirmed positive
  • 1 patient has recovered
