This is good news!

The Star wrote that civil servants will be given RM500 on 18th December 2019, according to our Finance Ministry. All civil servants – 1.5 million people including veterans and non-pensionable government retirees – who are ranked Grade 56 and below will benefit from the government bill.

Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng revealed that the payment serves as an appreciation for their contributions to the country and the people. Lim’s statement read,

“The payment will be made before the end of the year and this, among others, will be able to help parents prepare the school needs of their children.”

FYI, this initiative was announced in the Budget 2020.

On that note, if you have any family members who are/were civil servants, share this article with them because they might just benefit from it.
