Earlier on Tuesday (11th September), Malaysians were horrified upon learning about the CCTV footage of two men brutally killing a pregnant cat by forcing it into a dryer at a laundromat in Taman Gombak Ria. The animal’s body was discovered by another person who was about to use the machine.
Now, according to Berita Harian, two men have just been arrested by the police earlier this morning (14th September). However, according to the police, there were actually three men involved in this horrific crime.
Gombak district police chief Asst Comm Samsor Maarof told the daily that the two men were arrested in Gombak, while another suspect is still being pursued.
Just yesterday (13th September), the authorities revealed uncensored photos of the three men involved in the cruel abuse because they committed a crime under Section 428 of the Penal Code for mischief by killing or maiming animals.
In light of the horrific abuse, the Malaysia Animal Association released the personal details of one of the perpetrators including his name, identity card numbers, address, telephone numbers, home address, and car registration number, according to the Malay Mail.
Kudos to the authorities for their swift action, and let’s hope the third culprit is also caught soon!
