Global condom manufacturer Durex recently conducted a survey where they asked people above 16 years of age how old were they when they first had sex.

After they compiled the data they released a world “heat” map and a graph showing each country’s results. And they found that Malaysians are the oldest when they pop their cherry. Which can be a good or bad thing depending on who you ask!

Above is a picture of the map Durex released. It shows, naturally that Asian countries tend to wait longer to lose their virginity than western nations.

Although they did not survey every country in the world, they’ve accumulated substantial data from a total of 37 countries… and Malaysia is the last on the list!

Well would you look at that. 23.7 years is the average age Malaysians first have sex!

Indonesia follows close behind us at 23.6 years while our neighbour Singapore checks in at 22 years old.

While it doesn’t say how long every decimal point translates to, with some simple math, we’ll get 0.1 being around 1 month 1 week.

It was reasoned that people from Asian countries probably lose their virginity later due to their conservative upbringing and the lack of sexual education since young.

Unofficial reports claim that it’s due to guys playing DOTA too much. Okay, we’re just kidding. Don’t quote us on this.

So what do you guys think? Is it a good or bad thing that we wait the longest to have sex?
