Remember the 17 year-old girl who was shamed for calling her Charles & Keith bag a luxury? Well, she is now the Community Ambassador for the brand!

Two months ago, 17-year-old Zoe Gabriel received negative comments from some users after uploading a video on TikTok where she thanked her father for gifting her her “first luxury bag” from the Singaporean fashion brand Charles & Keith.

A few days after the incident, Charles & Keith have since offered to have lunch with Zoe and her founder as well as give them a tour of the Charles & Keith headquarters.

Fast forward to two months later, as Woman’s Day is approaching, Charles & Keith uploaded a series of photos for their International Women’s Day 2023 campaign. Zoe was announced as the Brand Community Ambassador and she is donning a Charles & Keith purple Alia bag in the picture. The launch of this special iteration of the Alia bag is in support of the UN Women’s Storytelling for Gender Equality program.

“Women are like flowers: our time and needs to grow may not always align, but that is okay. we are like fields of poppy and lakes of lotus – diverse and bold in our differences, beautiful in our own ways. this international women’s day, let us celebrate with compassion. Let us celebrate with equality through equity, the way flowers do,” she stated.

Many netizens commented on her and the brand’s posts, expressing that they are proud of Zoe. Some also praised the Charles & Keith team for their good marketing.
