Another crash involving a garbage truck occurred at a toll plaza in Selangor on Friday (10 October), just weeks after the fatal Kajang toll accident that claimed two lives.

As seen in a viral clip on Facebook, the crash happened at 2:30 PM at the Damansara-Puchong Highway (LDP) toll plaza. According to Subang Jaya Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Wan Azlan Wan Mamat, the garbage truck driver, an Indonesian national, fled the scene after crashing into the toll plaza.

The truck attendant suffered injuries

The driver reportedly lost control of the 10-tonne Isuzu truck before veering off the road and crashing into the toll plaza. He was en route to Bukit Puchong from Putrajaya at the time of the incident. The truck attendant, a 42-year-old Bangladeshi man, suffered head and facial injuries.

Wan Azlan stated that efforts to locate the driver are ongoing to assist investigations under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act (APJ) 1987.
