First and foremost, the culinary scene captivated her senses.

Malaysia’s food culture is renowned for its diversity, offering an endless array of choices. Hirina was particularly amazed by how her taste buds evolved during her time in Malaysia.

In a delightful twist, she discovered her love for spicy food, a taste that was once foreign to her. Malaysia’s flavourful cuisine helped her gradually build her spice tolerance, transforming her dining experiences into an exciting and daring culinary adventures.

But it wasn’t just the food that won her heart; it was also the people. Malaysia’s multiracial society impressed her with genuine kindness, care, and warm nature.

Hirina found Malaysians to be exceptionally friendly, always willing to engage in small talk and make her feel welcome. While she acknowledged the politeness of her fellow Japanese citizens, she noted that Malaysians had a unique knack for connecting through conversation, making her feel a true sense of belonging.

Lastly, her love extended to the feline inhabitants of Malaysia. She couldn’t help but notice the adorable stray cats that roamed the streets. To her surprise, these stray cats were not only cute but also remarkably friendly and approachable. Their affectionate nature contrasted with the more reserved demeanour of cats she encountered in pet shops. She even encouraged others to consider adopting these lovable strays, highlighting their charm and the joy they could bring to any home.
