Having friendly neighbours is indeed a blessing, especially the ones that like to help out one another.

Taking to TikTok, this netizen shared how their next-door neighbour, who has a green thumb, loves to replant their calamansi tree because he seemingly knows that Malays love to make sambal.

Here is the hilarious encounter caught on video.

“Mak, take a look at what Mr Lim is doing. He is replanting our calamansi plant,” they said.

“We don’t have the time to care for it la. So, kind of you.”

Commending Mr Lim for the help, they added that their plants would always die out because they did not have the skills that Mr Lim had.

Taking to the comments section, several netizens shared their stories of their own neighbours.

“Our neighbour would give the keys to their back porch. The plant lemongrass, chillies, turmeric, ginger, curry leaves, calamansi, and we would simply exchange what we had.”
