The victim allegedly badmouthed a friend of one of the suspects

Hanyan said initial investigations revealed that the physical assault took place after the victim had badmouthed a friend of one of the students involved. The student then invited three other students to look for the victim, which led to the attack, as reported by Berita Harian.

The victim was then rushed to Hospital Sultan Abdul Halim (HSAH) for treatment.

There were no closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras at the scene, and the case is currently being investigated under Section 507A of the Penal Code.
