“New year, new me, and please be nice to me, 2024!”

Many of us often come up with New Year’s resolutions as a motivation to push ourselves forward and to be better, and some of us can’t help but ask the New Year to be kinder to us, especially after we’ve been through a hectic year. There’s nothing wrong with asking for kindness in a brand new year but a Malaysian man, Peruz believes that there’s something you should do before expecting kindness from the new year.

“Be nice to others before expecting the same from 2024,” Peruz told Malaysians in his viral TikTok post @peruzlagi.

Come to think of it, how many of us have shown genuine kindness and love to others throughout the year after expecting the same from every new year?

“Your own attitude is nowhere near good. Fix your attitude, then ask for kindness from 2024 Please be nice, please be nice. Bullsh*t!”

When asked if he has any reminders to share with fellow Malaysians, Peruz told WORLD OF BUZZ that he would like to share one of his favourite quotes with everyone.

“In a world where you could be anything, be kind.”

Other than giving kindness to others, Peruz also said he hoped that everyone could take the opportunity to focus on themselves, as well as the goals that they want to achieve in 2024. As for the man himself, he’s hoping that everything will go smoothly for him and for friendships to sustain.

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. When was the last time you show pure kindness to others, and what have you set for yourself in 2024?
