On the first day of Hari Raya (23 April 2023), a fire broke out in the cat room of Deputy Prime Minister Zahid Hamidi’s house.
According to the statement of the director of the Selangor Fire Department, the fire department received the report at around 1.30pm. The fire happened in a double-storey bungalow in Country Heights, Kajang, as reported by Kosmos.
The director of the Selangor Fire Department said that both the Fire and Rescue Department from Bangi and Kajang immediately went to the scene. The fire was put out and no one was injured.
He added that 15 per cent of the 400 square feet of cat room was burned down. It is also reported that more than one cat has passed away due to the fire.
As of the time of writing, there are still no details about the cause of the fire. Stay tuned for more updates.
