Taking to Twitter, @MyNewsHub shared a video of how this group of kids lost their father just before Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
In a video which saw the saddened kids saying their last goodbyes, it was the crowd’s actions that drew the most attention from the public.
Taking to netizen, one wrote: “Yes, the kids were sad. There is no need to pull their arms or pry them away from their father. It is not haram.”
“I don’t understand people with zero common sense like this.”
“Why can’t you just let these kids hug their father one last time? That’s all they want to do anyways.”
Citing several advices from clerics, it is understood that it is not wrong to hug the deceased. So long as people do not go overboard when doing it.
