A father in Subang Jaya recently discovered his daughter dead at their home in USJ 2/1, with her body hanging from a ceiling fan.

According to an official statement from PDRM Subang, police received a report about the incident on Thursday (August 14) at 11:55 am from the father himself, who said he found his daughter’s body hanging from the ceiling fan in the living hall on the second floor of their house.

Medical personnel pronounced the woman dead at the scene.

The deceased, who was in her 20s, is believed to have been murdered, according to Subang Jaya Police Chief Wan Azlan Bin Wan Mamat. The autopsy report confirmed bleeding in the hyoid bone (a U-shaped bone located in the front of the neck) as the cause of death.

“The injuries inflicted on the muscle and the bone were caused by manual strangulation,” Wan Azlan said in his statement.

The case is now being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder. Police are still working to determine the motive.

In the meantime, PDRM has urged the public not to speculate about the case and to stay tuned for further updates.
