Building up a business is not an easy job as there are many things to consider and many aspects that need your utter care and attention. This man, Azmi Danial, who is the boss of Farm Fresh, shared his ups and downs in his business and how his hard work managed to bring him up to the top.
He shared on his Facebook account that he actually started out with 60 cows and by buying milk from breeders. As no lorry would want to help deliver their small amount of goods (about 10 to 20 boxes), Mr. Azmi had to take the express buses to KL to deliver his goods.
Everyone’s business starts out small and the same goes for Mr. Azmi. At first, he was selling it to kedai runcit before going into supermarkets. He didn’t stop there and call it a day, as he continued to work hard by selling milk at farmer’s markets and night markets. It was a tough time for him not only because he was working very hard, but it was also because of some of the things that people said.
There were some competitors who told buyers from the supermarket this:
“There’s no need to worry about this small company, they will eventually die off on their own anyway.”
And when they were looking for promoters, some of them said this:
“Are you sure you can pay me my salary? I mean, you’re wearing slippers…”
Turning that negativity into a driving force, Mr. Azmi kept it all inside his head to motivate himself so that he could prove them wrong. Mr. Azmi vowed to never, ever forget the first day he started his business and how much he had to endure to get where he is today.
That is certainly a very inspiring story, and we hope that Mr. Azmi will be able to grow out his business more! Also, thank you for giving Malaysians delicious and nutritious milk!
