That classic long running cartoon, The Simpsons has always been known for magical powers of seeing the future considering they’ve predicted many of our current happenings in past episodes.
For instance, they predicted the that Donald Trump would be president of the United States, as well as Disney’s purchase of 20th Century Fox.
And it turns out that they also predicted the outbreak of the coronavirus!
As according to Deadline, apparently fans are linking 1993 episode titled, ‘Osaka Flu Hits Springfield’ with the spread of the Wuhan Virus, with the only difference being that the Wuhan virus is from China while the Osaka Flu is from Japan.
In the episode, residents of Springfield contract the virus after they ordered juicers from Japan. A Japanese factory worker can be heard telling his colleague, “Please don’t tell the supervisor I have a flu,” before coughing into a package with a juicer bound for Homer Simpson and other Springfield residents.
Soon the whole town is overtaken by visible clouds of flu germs and chaos ensues, of course.
