The woman regrets making the post

Two family members of the little girl have since given their statements about the medical negligence allegations that went viral on social media, as reported by Sinar Harian.

Perak’s Human Resources, Health, Indian Community Affairs, and National Integration Exco, A. Sivanesan, said the girl’s father and aunt went to the hospital on March 6 (Thursday) after being asked to explain their social media posts.

He added that the aunt regretted making the post and apologised for it.

“I received multiple calls from the victim’s aunt”

Sivanesan said that with the apology, the issue is considered settled, but the Perak State Health Department (JKN) and the Ministry of Health Malaysia (KKM) are still looking into it.

“I received multiple calls from the victim’s aunt, and she told me she regretted what she did and apologised for the post. I also asked both of them to go to the hospital this morning to explain why they posted it, and the hospital will also clear up what actually happened.”

He also pointed out that this should be a lesson not to post false or misleading information, as it goes against Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.
