The family members of the Singaporean married couple who were found dead in a Cheras homestay did not show up at the hospital morgue to retrieve the bodies.
In a report by China Press, it was revealed that the family members of the deceased entrusted the employees of the funeral home to handle the bodies on their behalf. After retrieving the bodies from the morgue, both deceased were brought to the crematorium.

China Press was present at the hospital morgue this morning (May 20) and confirmed that none of the family members of the deceased showed up. 2 hearses were spotted outside the hospital around 10 AM to take the bodies of the couple away.
The deceased will be cremated in Puchong, and arrangements will be made for their family members to collect the ashes, which will be sent to Singapore. The time and method of transportation, however, are subject to the respective family members.

On Friday (May 16), the bodies of the Singaporean couple, Xie Jin De and Zhuang Shuyi (transliterations), 43 and 33, respectively, were discovered by an employee of the homestay in Taman Taynton View, Cheras, after the couple did not check out on time.
Police also found ketamine on a plate at the scene, and PDRM confirmed that both deceased died by suicide.
Additionally, Xie was also wanted by Malaysian police for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old in Selangor, two weeks before his death.
