Legendary Taiwanese singer, Jay Chou (we mean the fake Jay Chou) is coming for a show in Penang!

The real Jay Chou is expected to perform at the Jay Chou’s Carnival World Tour 2024 at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium on October 26. Back in China, the fake Jay Chou even had his own show which drew a huge crowd, with the ticket for his show priced at around RMB6000 (approximately RM3,800), which was even more expensive than the real Jay Chou’s show!

Just recently, a nightclub in Penang announced that the fake Jay Chou will be having a life performance as a special guest on July 27, a Friday night. Perfect for those who are looking for something different to do on the weekend night’s eve.

The ticket prices vary, with RM79 for the front-row seats and RM179 for the back zone. Early birds can enjoy much lower prices but everyone who attends the show will get a shot of Chivas XV on the house!

Sarawak, too?

The Penang show, however, will not be his only rodeo in Malaysia.

Another nightclub in Kuching, Sarawak will also be graced with his present on August 3rd, just a week after his show in Penang. The ticket price is set at RM118, and the show will be called “Hot Stuff Coming”.

If you prefer to watch the authentic Jay Chou in KL, you’ll have to wait until the end of October!

The fake Jay Chou, whose real name is Sun Dong has been active in singing for nearly 20 years now and has since gained a massive cult of followers.

To those who grew up listening to Jay Chou in secondary school, will you be attending Sun’s shows in Penang and Sarawak and give it a try?
