AirAsia MOVE (previously known as airasia Superapp) recently introduced their new Asean Explorer Pass. This annual-based pass grants you an array of travel perks and discounts on the AirAsia MOVE app, including:

  • Endless Zero Base Fare flights (the travel period is from 21 May 2024 onwards)
  • Endless discounts for hotels (up to 50% OFF) with exclusive deals and vouchers for international hotel bookings
  • Endless discounts on e-hailing rides with AirAsia Ride (available in Malaysia only)

The pass is available for all members of the AirAsia MOVE app (so if you’re not yet registered, what are you waiting for?!). The great thing about this pass is that it covers AirAsia’s entire network of flights including international carriers such as Thai AirAsia and Philippines AirAsia. As long as you’re flying within Asean, this pass can get you there!

2. Save your wallet by getting this pass for as low as RM89.91/month

It’s no secret that travelling can get pretty costly. That’s why travellers will be thrilled to know that the Asean Explorer Pass is currently having an exclusive Early Bird promotion price of only RM999 for the yearly plan! With this price point, you’ll definitely get the best bang for your buck as you’ll have access to endless Zero Base Fare flights!

You can also subscribe to the pass with an annual installment plan (with preferred major bank partners: Maybank, HSBC, Public Bank and AmBank) for only RM89.91 per month (inclusive of SST)! Once you’re subscribed to the plan, you’ll be able to book any AirAsia international flights to an Asean destination, provided that you make your bookings 14 days before your travel date.

After the Early Bird promotion period has ended, Malaysians will still be able to purchase the pass at RM1,188 (or RM99 per month) from 1 May 2024 onwards. Do note that all prices will be subjected to 8% SST.

As the name suggests, this pass will allow you to travel within Asean. You can also book domestic destinations in countries other than your own. For instance, if you’re holding a Malaysian passport, you can redeem domestic flights on Thai AirAsia and Philippines AirAsia. Similarly, if you’re an expat living in Malaysia, you can redeem domestic flights in Malaysia with AirAsia Berhad (Malaysia).

Now, you can redeem domestic flights in Thailand to Chiang Rai, or in Philippines to visit Bohol and many other domestic flights available in those carriers. This pass will encourage you to discover some of the rare gems in Asean like Da Nang, Phu Quoc, Chiang Rai, Sihanoukville, Medan and more! These destinations may not be that far from home but trust us, nothing can beat our Asean hospitality!

  • Access to book domestic flights (when you’re traveling in other Asean countries)
  • A sign-up bonus of 1,000 AirAsia points will be credited to your AirAsia account

To unlock these endless perks and savings, make sure you’re registered as a member on the AirAsia MOVE app and follow the steps on this page to redeem your free flights or hotel and ride discounts.

There are also a few things that users should note before getting the pass, including:

  • You can only make three active bookings at one time (to prevent pass holders from overbooking free flights that they might not board). However, you’ll be able to book more flights once your booked flight has flown.
  • Free flights are applicable for direct travel only (one-way or return) and for international routes within Asean.
  • Upon purchasing the Asean Explorer Pass, you can start redeeming your flights from 7 May onwards with the travel date starting from 21 May 2024.
  • Free flights refer to zero base fares which do not include airport taxes and other charges.

So, don’t wait around, folks. Grab the Asean Explorer Pass NOW to enjoy the Early Bird promo price and embark on a year filled with adventures!
