Once you’ve caught the public’s attention, people will likely talk about you for some time, especially if you’re going viral for the wrong reasons.
Just a few days back, a Malaysian uncle made headlines for hogging the seat next to him in LRT with his bag and allegedly refused to let others take the seat. Netizens quickly recognised the man, and many said they had experienced and witnessed something similar. According to Malaysian train users, his bag is not the only thing he uses to hog the seat.
Thanks to the information that is currently circulating on X, the viral Malaysian uncle is making himself at home on the train by “picnicking” inside the public transport. In an image shared by @AZAZ2902, the uncle was seen finishing his food comfortably at his seat, with the containers placed on the seat next to him and exposed.
We never knew we could make ourselves at home inside the train.
Not only that, but another image also shows the uncle doing Mise en place (French term for setup required before cooking) by peeling raw garlic at his seat, with a paper bag on his lap and, as usual, his bag and other items hogging the seat next to him.
“Organise a BBQ and join the uncle”
Malaysians were baffled to see such an audacity from the uncle, with some users tagging Rapid KL on social media, hoping that actions would be taken against the uncle. Other users also sarcastically responded to the viral images of the uncle who was making himself home on the train.
“With all these circulating photos on my timeline, I wonder how many people have this uncle annoyed,” said a user.
“RapidKL, netizens have done their job. Now, it’s your move.”
While one user said, “Might as well just ask RapidKL to adopt him. He’s making himself at home.”
To those who commute to work by LRT every day, have you had the “luxury” of seeing this uncle?
